Marco Aiello
Professor of Distributed Systems

Received the engineering degree from the University of Rome La Sapienza and the PhD degree from the University of Amsterdam. He works at the Johann Bernoulli Institute of the University of Groningen. Prior to joining the University of Groningen, he was an assistant professor at the University of Trento, Italy, and a Lise Meitner fellow at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. His research interests are smart energy systems, service-oriented computing and spatial reasoning.

Ilche Georgievski
Postdoctoral researcher

Received the engineering degree of computer and information science from the University of Maribor and the PhD degree from the University of Groningen. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Johann Bernoulli Institute of the University of Groningen. His research interests are AI planning, smart energy systems and service-oriented computing.

Linda Steg
Professor of Environmental Psychology

Received the master degree and PhD degree from the University of Groningen. She works at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Groningen. Her research interests are psychological aspects promoting pro-environmental actions and energy savings, energy policies and future energy systems.

Thijs Bouman
Postdoctoral researcher

Received the master degree and PhD degree from the University of Groningen. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Groningenn. His research interests are the influence of (group) values on individuals’ environmental behaviors and how these values can motivate people to act pro-environmentally.

Shi Dan
Professor of Economics

Received the master degree from the Remin University of China and the PhD degree from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She works at the Institute of Industrial Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her research interests are China’s energy issues, including energy policy, energy price, energy industry market-orientated reform, energy security, energy efficiency, renewable energy, relations between economic growth and energy cost.
