EuroVis 2016, the 18th EG/VGTC Annual Conference on Visualization, will take place from June 6th to June 10th in Groningen, the Netherlands. June 6th-7th will be dedicated to co-located events, while the main conference will open on Tuesday, June 7th, and close on Friday, June 10th. The conference opening with the fast forward session will be in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 7th. The conference will end with the closing and awards session before lunch on Friday, June 10th.

Registration is managed directly by the Groningen Congres Bureau (GCB), which will collect fees and provide PDF receipts. All registrations, including on-site ones, will only be possible exclusively through the GCB online system. Please contact info@gcb.nl for all questions concerning registration. During on-line registration, you will be able to book one of the suggested hotels. NOTE: Due to VAT calculation, the actual fees may be off by one cent from the amounts given below.

Discounts

Member discount

EuroVis offers a discounted rate to IEEE and Eurographics members. Proof of membership must be provided at the moment of registration. Becoming a Eurographics member is easy and at any rate gives a discount for the EuroVis conference exceeding the cost of membership. Student discount

EuroVis also offers students access to the conference at a discounted rate. A student registration includes access to all sessions of the selected package, as well as to lunches, coffee breaks, and social events. The fee also includes conference digital media. A scanned copy of a valid student ID card has to be e-mailed to the conference registration office (info@gcb.nl), Subject: EuroVis 2016 Student Registration, and has to be shown at the registration desk at the conference.

Co-located events only

The fee also includes the proceedings of the main EuroVis conference.

Full conference week

Registration includes access to all the co-located events and EuroVis conference sessions from Monday to Friday morning, coffee breaks, lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Co-located Events Reception on Monday, the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, the Posters Reception on Wednesday, and the Conference Dinner on Thursday. Co-located Events Reception

The EuroVis “Co-located Events Reception” will take place on Monday June 6th 2016. This reception is included in the "co-located events only" and "full week" packages. Extra tickets can be purchased at a cost of €10 through the online conference registration (deadline: May 31st, 2016) and pre-registration of additional attendees is required.

Welcome Reception

The EuroVis “Welcome Reception” will take place on Tuesday June 7th 2016 in the Academy Building of the University, Broerstraat 5, Groningen. This reception is free of charge. However, pre-registration of additional attendees is required through the online conference registration (deadline: May 31st, 2016).

Posters Reception

The EuroVis “Posters Reception” will take place on Wednesday June 8th 2016. This reception is included in the "conference only" and "full week" packages. Extra tickets can be purchased at a cost of €10 through the online conference registration (deadline: May 31st, 2016) and pre-registration of additional attendees is required.

Conference Dinner

The EuroVis 2016 Conference Dinner will take place in the evening of June 8th 2016 in the Der Aa-church, Akerkhof 2, Groningen. This event is included in the  "conference only" and "full week" packages. Extra tickets can be purchased at a cost of €60 through the online conference registration (deadline: May 31st, 2016), and pre-registration of additional attendees is required. Travel information

Information about travelling to Groningen, the Netherlands, can be found in the For Attendees section of the EuroVis 2016 conference website. The conference program will start on Monday and end on Friday morning (before lunch).

Cancellation

If you have pre-registered and cannot attend the conference, you must send us written notice of your cancellation and request for refund. The date of cancellation will be the date the written request is received by the conference secretariat:
