Chapter 2: From Graphics to Visualization
Projects
The projects for Chapter 2 are added, for convenience, in a single PDF document.
Prerequisites: These projects do require a good understanding of the basic OpenGL techniques described in Chapter 2. Furthermore, they do require an implicit good level of programming in C/C++.
Aims: The provided projects are intended to test the overall understanding of the student of the (OpenGL) computer graphics pipeline, including interaction with the windowing system and handling mouse and keyboard events. They also aim to expose the student to various technical challenges related to designing typical 3D graphics applications, which are implicitly relevant to designing and coding visualization applications.
