Chapter 9: Image Visualization
Projects
Prerequisites: These projects do require a good understanding of the uniform-grid data representation techniques discussed in Chapter 3. They also require a good understanding of the 2D image representation and processing techniques described in Chapter 9, in particular distance and feature transforms. Furthermore, they do require a good level of programming in C/C++.
Aims: The provided projects are intended to test the students' ability to design and implement correct and efficient algorithms for processing 2D images. They also introduce students to the processing of 3D images, thereby creating a bridge to the material presented in Chapter 10.
