Title:    Diffusion tensor imaging: current and future research at Vision Lab Antwerp

Abstract:

After a brief introduction to diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), current research on
DTI at the Vision Lab is discussed. Next, a new registration method for DTI is

explained as well as future work to atlas building. The registration is based on

a viscous fluid model and employs a reorientation strategy to align the diffusion

tensor data. Next, high angular diffusion tensor imaging is discussed with

application to tract reconstruction based on spherical deconvolution. Finally,

the possibilities and challenges of diffusion kurtosis imaging is briefly discussed.
