Text processing

I am very interested in text-processing and text-formatting, especially using TeX and LaTeX. For local LaTeX-users, I maintain a couple of local adjustments, courses, useful styles and scripts, etc.
I am a member of the Dutch TeX-User group.
You can imagine, I am not so fond of text-processors with names starting with word. A nice quotation to be mentioned here is:

Dutch TeX Users group

De Nederlandstalige TeX Gebruikersgroep (NTG) is een vereniging die tot doel heeft het bevorderen van de kennis en het gebruik van TeX. De NTG tracht dat te bereiken door het uitwisselen van informatie, het organiseren van congressen, symposia en tentoonstellingen m.b.t. TeX en 'TeX-producten' en door het onderzoeken en vergelijken van TeX met soortgelijke/aanverwante producten.

ALUMNIeuws is a yearly magazine for former students of the department of computing science and the department of mathematics.

University Safety Organisation (UVO)

This organisation is for first aid in case of fire, accidents, etc. The UVO-members try to be of help before the professional care is available and (after they have arrived) to assist them. We are trained to give first aid, to clear the building in case of a fire, and to go in and rescue people out of a building on fire.
