DGMM 2025

Venue

The conference will be held at the "Oude Raadhuis" (website in Dutch) in the Oude Boteringestraat 19 in Groningen. It was formerly known as the Van Swinderenhuis, and is near the Academy Building of the University of Groningen, in the historic of the city of Groningen. The University of Groningen was founded in 1614, and is one of the oldest in the Netherlands.

The City of Groningen

The City of Groningen was founded over 1,000 years ago, and has a compact medieval centre. It is very much a student city, with roughly one in every three of its 210,000 inhabitants being a student. This results in a very lively night life, with many bars and restaurants.

Groningen can be reached most easily by train, with a direct connection to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Within the city, the bicycle is the dominant mode of transport, but there is also ample public transport, and most of the restaurants and many hotels are within easy walking distance of the conference venue,
