Chapter 6: Vector Visualization
Exercises
The exercises for Chapter 6 are added, for convenience, in a single PDF document.
Prerequisites: These exercises do require a good understanding of the main vector visualization methods presented in Chapter 6. Several such exercises require a fair amount of vector calculus knowledge (divergence, gradient, curl, and their relationships). Interpolation and resampling knowledge presented in Chapter 3 is also required.
Aims: The provided exercises are intended to test the overall understanding of the student of the computational aspects involved in dealing with vector fields. Next, the exercises test the understanding of the student of the limit cases, design trade-offs, and algorithmic working of several vector visualization algorithms.
